OK, Here's The Detour Rundown....
Aug. 2nd, 2007 11:26 amI-35W is closed both ways from I-94 to County 88 (personally, I thought they would keep northbound open to the County 122/Washington exit for U of M access).
I-35W is open to local traffic both ways between MN-280 and County 88 (due to the major business center at the County 88 intersection). Only 2 of the 4 lanes each way are open. I-35W has basically become a mile-long exit ramp here.
The "temporary I-35W" follows I-94 and MN-280. The two at-grade intersections on MN-280 have been temporarily removed to make it a freeway corridor until the bridge is replaced. MN-280 is a 2-lane-each-way freeway with short on and off ramps.
