I'm still in the ConSuite as I type this. MarsCon rocked! I got in around Noon Friday after having to do some limited troubleshooting on my web server (disk crash, no fault of Ubuntu). Long story short, the power pig is temporarily back online.
I must admit I still feel rather honored to have been a featured performer. On Friday I basically ran my performance set the same way I run "Revenge" -- on the fly *heh*. I opened with "A Geek Like Me", which went over very well. I really need to hit up my muse for more original ideas. ;) Did mostly stuff from Oh Dear FSM, but did a couple from SRTI as well, and Milla joined me on stage for a rousing performance of "Red Star Woman" :)
Rob Balder took the stage next. I really like his subtle approach to his songs :) Especially "Rich Fantasy Lives", which seems to have been his big hit of the con. He was even later convinced to perform it a capella in the Dementia Radio party room! :)
Worm Quartet was still in flight delays, so Sudden Death took the stage next, and somehow I think I'm getting Milla into dementia ;) She was laughing her ass off at Devo Spice's songs. And he did "Rest Home Gangstas"!!! I love that song, it's got to be close to my favorite Sudden Death song! :)
The Gothsicles just simply rocked the house after that. What else is there to say about them? They had to give people room to dance because, face it, with the Gothsicles perform, you just HAVE to dance! ^ ^ v v < > < > B A Select Start!!!!!
After that, the crowd moved to the Dementia Radio party room for the drinking contest between Nateboi and Milla. Long story short, Nateboi's energetic dancing during the Gothsicles' performance was his undoing, as he chunked after only 5 shots! Milla is now The Almighty DJ Milla for at least the next year! After the contest, we continued to cast live for another two hours before calling it a night.
Saturday's review upcoming.
