In a nutshell, here is how it went down...

----------------------------------

AL: Hi! I want to record a parody of "Born This Way" called "Perform This Way", about Gaga's performance styles.

MANAGER: Gaga says she needs to see lyrics first

AL: Ok here's lyrics, how about now?

MANAGER: Gaga says she needs to hear a finished product

AL: Ok here's the finished product, how about now?

MANAGER (a week later): Gaga says no.

AL: !$!&^$$!$%&^%!&^%!&!!!!

(Al posts first blog post - internet buzz buzz buzz)

GAGA (in interview): WTF? I never rejected anything from Weird Al! I love Weird Al!

AL (in interview): The manager said he had been working directly through her.

MANAGER: Um, I lied. Sorry about that.

GAGA: I love the song! Go ahead and put it on the album!

AL: YAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

(Al posts second blog post)

-----------------------------------

Now a couple things:
1) If you haven't been following Gaga on Twitter or FB, then stop with the "she backpedaled to avoid bad publicity" crap! I *have* been following her, and she has never been anti-parody, in fact she has even blogged and linked to parodies of her stuff by Shane Dawson, the Pantless Knights, and others. That was why I smelled a rat in a suit right from the get-go!

2) And this is for the Gaga fans who were badmouthing Al after the initial managerial rejection saying "Don't let him steal your song": SHAME ON YOU! If you were even half the "little monsters" you claim to be, you SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER that Gaga would never have rejected Al.
